MedPhab will serve as Europe’s first Pilot Line dedicated to manufacturing, testing, and upscaling of new photonics technologies for medical diagnostics enabling accelerated product launch. MedPhab will bring the high-quality infrastructure and extensive know-how within easy reach of the SME’s and other European Industry. Globally unique feature of MedPhab is its operation in medical domain setting requirements to meet regulations. The competitive differentiation is the seamless operation between ISO13485 certified companies and RTOs when single-entry point can serve SMEs operating at different TRLs. Professional customer interface will be operated by staff with extensive experience in the field medical devices.
Robin de Bruijn received the M.S. degree in Chemical engineering from Eindhoven University of Technical, Eindhoven, The Netherlands in 2009. Currently he is working as Business Development Director at Philips Innovation Services in the department of MEMS and Micro Devices. He has 10 years of experience in microfluidic technologies in the field of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and the life sciences. Main focus at this moment is on the development of new emerging business in areas like BioMEMS, Organ-on-a-Chip and photonics.
