High heat load is one of the big problems in datacentres. After Innolume has released its Prism Award winning Temperature Insensitive DFB Laser, company is intensively working on other products to offer uncooled solutions not only for long reach links. Now updated product line is expanded with Temperature Insensitive Fabry Perot Laser which is addressing Short Reach market and COMB Laser (low noise multi wavelength light source) addressing DWDM chip-to-chip / board-to-board optical links. Ability for uncooled high power operation up to 100degC eliminates Thermo Electric Coolers (TEC) and substitutes few lasers with just one powerful laser source. Back reflection tolerance for isolator free operation reducing packaging cost and wall-plug efficiency above 20%@100C decreases overall power consumption saving energy and environment one laser at a time.
Alexey studied semiconductor physics at the Ioffe Physico-Technical Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia. On his way to PhD in the field of heterostructures and laser diode physics he got a number of recognizable awards. After international engagements in the laser industry, Alexey joined Innolume in 2008. Alexey has played a decisive role in the development of Innolume since the start-up phase, setting up internal processes and building a product portfolio. In his role of Director Business Development having a deep understanding of Innolume technology and manufacturing capabilities he was vitally involved in developing competitive product lines range and opening up new markets what allowed Innolume to break even in 2014 and continuously grow further. Now Alexey is taking over Innolume Operations on the company way to high volume manufacturing.
